We have been 8 times in
Olympos and spent wonderful days there. The first time I have been
there , I was two years old and my parents had to carry me. In the
following years I ran around in the small ways together with my sister
and we explored many secrets. I will come back as soon as possible.

years ago but we still remember it as something very unique, very
special. An arachaic experience somehow. A lesson in Italian in one of
the functioning windmills. The absence of any traffic.The mournings

I spent 4 days in
Olympos with my boyfriend, and we really thought it was a unique
experience. I recommend to everyone to arrange an overnight-stay in
order to enjoy the nice little village with enough time. Thanks to all
the nice people we met there during our stay!

Me and my daughter
Josefine came home yesterday after our holiday to Pigadia. We enjoyed
our week but the most exciting and beautiful visit went to Olymbos. We
have never seen a place like that! Your were so friendly and helping
and smiling. We did some shopping so we will remember you every time we
look at that wonderful handmade tablecloth we bought. We even went to
Avlona and from there we were hiking in the mountains. What an
experience! It took 1,5 hours and it was very hot but it was worth
that. We really can recommend the hiking. Here in Sweden we "only" have
+ 18 degrees so we really long for your sun. Thank you all for this
time.

I visited your beautiful island for the
first time in Sept.-97,and have visited it every Sept.-Oct. since,with
a very good friend of mine. We`ve been all over the island of

of Pigadia and are now renting a small studio on a small beautiful and

My grandfather was born
in the town of Menetes but stowed away on a ship and came to america at
the age of 16. He was married and lived in Logan county west virginia
for the rest of his life and died at the age of 96 in 1977. I have
heard rumors from other Greeks that the name *vitruls* didn't look quit
right and have always wondered whether or not it was mispelled when my
grandfather - Mike Vitruls entered through customs in New York. I hear
that that happened frequently back in those days. I loved my
grandfather. He was a very good-natured and humble man with a great
sense of humor. He told me stories of life in Menetes when he was a boy
such as the way he caught octopus for dinner by allowing it to grab his
foot then drag it onto the sand. Of how he could run all day long when
he was young and lie underneath the grapevines and eat grapes until he
was full. I have always wopndered if I still have relatives in that
town???
